the
lost
cut
The lost cut. It’s not the rough cut, nor the final cut. Not a cut most glorious, seen once by a few, then lost to a curious fire. The lost cut is no cut at all. It’s the debris of celluloid scattered across the cutting room floor. It’s no story alone. It’s not the story of the film. It’s the story of film itself. The story of someone with a camera, trying to capture what’s right in front of them.
Fitzcarraldo (1982) Werner Herzog
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world.
